Study Buddies of Miami (SBM), a non-profit organization, is offering free virtual online tutoring and babysitting services.
Tutoring Services
SBM’s tutoring services pair up a high-school student, who was interviewed by SBM and chosen based on their outstanding academic achievements and their passion to help others in their community, with a student in need of assistance with their homework or classwork activities.
The student, parent, and tutor are able to create their own schedule based on their availability throughout the week, making it easier for them to communicate and create a flexible schedule. These one-on-one tutoring sessions are recorded or supervised by a board member for the safety of both the student and the tutor. SBM’s tutoring services are available to all students in grades Pre-K to 12th grade.
Virtual Babysitting Services
SBM is also offering virtual babysitting services for younger kids, where they participate in activities with tutors as a creative learning experience. SBM’s high school students, who are dedicated to serving our community, are paired up with a child. For babysitting services, parents have the option to interview potential tutors so they have the opportunity to choose who their child will work with. SBM’s babysitting services are for students in grades Pre-K to 3rd grade.
BMS’s tutoring and babysitting services are absolutely free of charge and are available weekdays from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
