Looking for a great Italian restaurant to host your special event, birthday party, date night or maybe dinner with the family? Then check out La Fontana Steakhouse, Doral’s newest Italian steakhouse.
Tucked away in the Windmill Gate Shopping Center, 4285 NW 107th Av Doral, Miami, FL 33178, my family and I were pleasantly surprised with the ambiance, and the variety and delicious flavors of our meals when we dined at La Fontana Steakhouse during the holiday season. While the presentations and parings were new to us, all the dishes we had were Italian though not quite traditional.
We started out with two shared appetizers: rustic bread stuffed with spinach, mozzarella, and cream cheese served with a side of marinara sauce; plus a Charcuterie & Cheese Board that included prosciutto, coppa dolce, and mortadella served with shaved parmesan, gorgonzola crumbles, truffle pecorino, marinated olives, seasonal grapes and my very favorite - fig jam.

La Fontana Steakhouse uses a dry-aged meat process to control the storage temperature of the meats for a period of 7 to 21 days. This process enhances the taste and makes the meat very tender. The filet mignon and porterhouse steak were amazingly flavorful and tender, and the short ribs were off the bone delicious!

There were plenty of choices for our non-red meat lovers to enjoy even though the restaurant is a steakhouse. If you’re not in the mood for red meat, equally flavorful and delicious are the Seafood Risotto with its blend of Carnaroli rice, clams, calamari, shrimp, and prawns in marinara sauce; there's Pear & Cheese Ravioli in a creamy Parmesan sauce, and breaded chicken cooked to golden brown perfection and served with fettuccine.

As with our appetizers, dessert portions at La Fontana Steakhouse are not only mouth-watering they are large enough to share with the entire family! Our family shared the amazingly delicious American Brownie Tower and the Giant Pavlova!

Our dining experience at La Fontana Steakhouse was exceptional! The food was superb, the potions extremely generous and our server, Genesis, was attentive and spot-on with her recommendations. La Fontana Steakhouse is also a great restaurant for private family gatherings, business meetings, happy hour and is easily accessible from Miami.
