HistoryMiami Museum, a Smithsonian Affiliate located in downtown Miami, safeguards and shares Miami stories to foster learning, inspire a sense of place, and cultivate an engaged community. HistoryMiami Museum connects people by telling the stories of Miami’s communities, individuals, places, and events.

Free Family Fun Days
The second Saturday of each month is Free Family Fun Days! Spend the whole day exploring the history and culture of our vibrant city. There are things to do, learn, and experience that the whole family will enjoy! Family Fun Days are from 10am to 5pm with activities are from 12pm to 4pm.
Annual International Map Fair (special event)
If you love maps this is the place to experience the largest antique map fair in the Americas! The fair features world-renowned speakers and the finest dealers, exhibiting their exceptional antique maps, rare antiquarian books, globes, atlases and ephemera.
Miami Street Photography Festival
Held during Art Basel week, the museum exhibits the finalists of the Miami Photo Series competition for street photography series depicting life in the Miami area.
Summer Passport Program
The Summer Passport Program, sponsored by Amerant Bank, provides free access for all children in Miami-Dade County to experience the museum during the summer months from June to August. Each passport offers free admission to each child and their families (up to four people per passport)
HistoryMiami is opened Tuesday through Saturday 10 am – 5 pm and 12 noon to 5 pm on Sundays.
It is free for children under 6. General admission for 6 through 12-year-old is $5; seniors and students $8, and for adults, it’s $10.
