Where did the time go? It’s almost summer and time to start planning our family summer vacation. We usually take a vacation at the start of summer and this year is no exception. On my radar is Club Med Sandpiper Bay in Port St. Lucie, the only all-inclusive Club Med resort in the US.
As always, planning our vacation tend to be a little challenging since our destination must offer activities and amenities that will satisfy three generations - including a sometimes moody and sometimes grumpy teenager! So research, referrals and personal experience are key!
Club Med Sandpiper Bay in Port Lucie has something for everyone which is just perfect for my family. While on vacation, my family members tend to go off on their own during the day in search of their favorite activities, then we regroup for dinner. At Club Med Sandpiper Bay, there are quite a few land and water activities such as sailing, paddle boarding, and even a flying trapeze! And for the sports enthusiast, there's golf, tennis and beach volleyball all with world-class instructors for some tips along the way. There’s also a Kidz Village that offers activities such as circus school, sports, arts & crafts and more for ages 4 months to 17 years. For mom, there’s the Club Med Spa by L’OCCITANE with 7 indoor treatment rooms, a manicure and pedicure room, hair salon and a Zen lounge garden. I know where I’ll be spending most of my time!

In addition to lots of family-friendly activities, there’s free WIFI (grumpy teenager will be happy), and of course breakfast, lunch, dinner, and refreshments are included. Snacks are also available almost 24 hours daily. At Club Med Sandpiper Bay there are a number of restaurants to choose from, each offering varied cuisine such as fresh seafood, Japanese, Italian, Thai, French Cuisine, Mediterranean, Caribbean, Mexican, and others.
I had spent a weekend at Club Med Sandpiper Bay in October 2013 for a Macaroni Kid Annual Meet-up and was very impressed with the resort, the food, and other amenities. So I was very happy when the opportunity to vacation at the Club Med Sandpiper Bay with my family presented itself, and I can’t wait to stay there once again!
