Thank you Jenny Craig for sponsoring this post. Tried other diets? It’s time for Jenny Craig!
As I head into the final week of my weight loss journey with Jenny Craig I begin to think about how much my eating habits have changed and the importance of nutritionally balanced meals, and what an impact these two things have had on my life these past twelve weeks. Not only did I learn how to control the amount of food I eat at any one sitting, I also learned that it is very important to eat breakfast and also that eating lunch and dinner plus having healthy snacks between meals help with controlling hunger pangs and overeating.
With Jenny Craig its learning how to get to a place where eating healthy is the norm. This does not mean eliminating all my favorite foods such as the occasional slice of cheesecake or a cheeseburger. It just means that cheesecake or cheeseburgers should not be my normal menu item and that when I do indulge I control the amount I eat. As the weeks on the Jenny Craig weight loss program flew by, I realized that it became easier and easier to resist the urge to pile my plate high with starchy foods and to replace these with fresh fruits, vegetables, and garden salads!
Of course eating healthy includes drinking plenty of water daily – at least 6-8 glasses of water. I’m a tea drinker, at least 3-4 cups daily, and while tea counts as water I’ve found that my pure water intake has increased and I’m down to 2 cups of tea. Another sign that my habits have changed for the better!
