Holy Rosary St. Richard Summer Camp

May 10, 2017

Holy Rosary St. Richard Summer Camp provides campers with a safe and healthy summer camp experience by cultivating a Christ-centered atmosphere conducive to learning and growing together with the community.

We have a highly experienced and energetic staff that is caring and enthusiastic about camp. The camp keeps a ratio of 8 campers for every Teacher/Counselor with 2 program assistants in each group.

There are five groups and the campers rotate throughout the day to the different activities.

  • Group 1 = Prekindergarten
  • Group 2 = Kindergarten & 1st Grade
  • Group 3 = 2nd & 3rd Grade
  • Group 4 = 4th & 5th Grade
  • Group 5 = 6th, 7th, & 8th Grade

Daily Activities

  • We offer all campers a fun and educational reading, math, science and languages arts enrichment program. During this time teachers work with children on preparing students for the year to come or helping complete their summer packets. Spanish will be incorporated through educational games and at a basic level.
  • Music/Dance = during this time campers get the chance to express themselves creatively through singing, karaoke, instrument play, Zumba, fun dance, and making digital recordings.
  • Physical Education/Sports= each week we focus on the fundamentals of different sports and enjoy various exercises and   game variations, culminating in a weekly awards ceremony.
  • Art/Cooking = children create fun art projects paintings, drawing, coloring, making lanyards, using beads for necklaces, crafts, and more. In culinary class they learn how to cook as they prepare fun and healthy meals like grilled cheese, pizza, smoothies, banana bread, fruit kabobs and more.
  • Board Game Time = learning classic fun games like Monopoly, Checkers, Chess, Connect 4, Dominoes, Cards, Scrabble, Sorry, Uno, Tic Tac Toe etc.…
